Getting Started with Phlox Portfolio


With Phlox, you can create an inspiring?Portfolio?page.
You can simply customize portfolio and create a remarkable portfolio to show off your works impressively. Portfolio page have different things to show such as projects pictures, videos, title, metadata, etc.
Phlox considers various options for portfolio and portfolio items. These options are considered for both single and archive portfolio, plus different layouts such as Grid, Masonry, and Tiles, to better suits your needs.
Each portfolio items can appear with an image, post title, post date, an excerpt, a read more or author name, and like button.

Add a New Portfolio

To add a portfolio to your website, first of all, you need to install three plugins:

Phlox Elements, Phlox Portfolio, and a Page Builder

Recommended: You can find all recommended plugins for Phlox, in this article.

You can install these three plugins by following the below steps:
  1. Go to your?WordPress Admin Panel
  2. Click?Phlox?on the Dashboard
  3. Navigate?Recommended Plugins?tab
  4. Install Phlox Elements, Phlox Portfolio,?and?Elementor/Page Builder

Note: You can choose any page builder you want. Phlox includes Elementor, Visual Composer, and SiteOrigin page builders. However, all of our demos are created with Elementor page builder. So it would be better to use Elementor. If you need more information, you can check out this article.

When installation finishes, activate the plugins. Then you can add a Phlox portfolio to your website. But first, you need to add some portfolio items. To do so:

  1. Select on Portfolio?which is added to your WordPress Admin Panel Dashboard
  2. Click Add New, to create a portfolio item
  3. Add a featured image for your portfolio items

Now, you can find your portfolio on your website by accessing its permalink (yourwebsite.com/portfolio/all) . Your portfolio page on your website, will show the latest portfolio items which it can be easily customized by customizer.

Portfolio Permalink

Portfolio is set with a default permalink?and you can edit this permalink by going to WordPress Admin Panel Dashboard -> Settings.
On the bottom of this page, you can find Phlox Permalink Setting. Here you are able to control portfolio single and archive pages and change them to whatever name you want.
